I experiment with the latest AI innovations and bring grounded, responsible judgment to AI adoption backed by 8+ years of Full Stack application development experience.
My most recent project is the referral generator. My Nava Labs team partnered with Goodwill offices in Central Texas and Pennsylvania to prototype and evaluate a novel application of LLMs and RAG to assist case workers in directing clients to local support programs.
Previously, I was one to keep work and pleasure separate but given the exciting new opportunities unleashed with tools like Claude Code and local LLMs, I've started developing fun little side projects in my spare time. Developing new tech isn't just work, it has become a hobby!
The New Jersey Department of Labor is in the middle of an end-to-end modernization overhaul. I implemented a new payment calculating system that automates tracking remaining balances and allows for calculating benefits based on a beneficiaries specific conditions. I also worked on a team that launched the remarkably successful revamp of the Intake Application that allows New Jersey Residents to apply for their unemployment benefits.
Coding agents expedite delivery by allowing non-software engineers directly contribute to sprint work, expanding who can steer the product. While this increases team velocity, it significantly increases the importance of responsible software engineering oversight.
